Message	metal, what? If it wasn't a sudden metallic scratching thud sound plus the fact that the car never started you *may* not have caused any damage and be alright on the bent valve issue. However, your timing is probably way off. The only way to find out is to remove the timing belt and then reinstall it per the service manual and the excellent DIY writeup in the Pages > Tech section of this site. Good luck.
